Interesting question….made me think back to July when I was forced (old one half dead) to buy a new vehicle. The ‘kid’ selling the vehicle couldn’t be nicer, chubby cheeked, innocent looking guy trying to feed his family. That was in stark contrast to the ’slime bag’ who came over to ‘finish’ the deal. If you could put the picture on the poster of Would you buy a used car from this character he would win hands down.

Sad to say but this attitude seems prevalent in society
today, not just sales. Am I getting too old, or should we be looking for that kinder, gentler, nation.

Because Unfortunately,most of the people in sales now are not really SALESMAN, they are mostly hustlers or people who can’t get a tradesman job.
I have been a SALESMAN all of 40+ working years.I sold Kirby vacuums door to door all thru the 70’s and 80’s and never once argued with any customer or potential customer.
Many of my collueges from then and now could say the same thing.
I really don’t like the way salesman act now either.Iam surethere are still some good ones out there ,but they seem to be far and few between.
