My husband is always interested in government auction vehicles and we have bought and sold a few of these cars before. Each time he sells them for a profit and we upgrade to another car.
There is a government site that gives the list but my husband likes 2 private sites where he says they highlight some good deals and have info which is useful for busy people like him.
These government auction vehicles can be really unbelievably cheap. We thought they were scams initially.
Try Goodwill, they get cars donated and sell them quite inexpensively. Usually, you have to have a dealer license to attend auto auctions, some are open to the public, like police auctions, they sell off impounds from crimes and you can secure some pretty nice cars at those auctions. If she merely wants to donate, why not put an ad in the paper seeking cars that people don’t want(they don’t run, have been sitting for years, etc)stating you will pick up any car that has a clear title. You may get more takers than you can handle.
