How do i tell whether my car was a rental cause i bought it at an auto auction. And does that have a negative effect on the resale of the vehicle. oh, by the way its a 2002 pontiac grand prix, if that helps at all

You will need to get a carfax report on this vehicle and will it have an effect being that it might have been a rental………sometimes it will and sometimes it wont.
It all depends on who is buying the vehicle when you sell it because places like kbb will not subtract if it was a rental but the dealer will if you traded it in.
